WHY do we have a dress code?  
We have a strict dress code so that our learning environment remains safe and professional.  It is part of our core values to teach students responsibility for themselves and respect for the art, so we expect our dress code to be followed consistently.  Students may be asked to change or sit out if they do not have the proper shoes and attire.

Creative Movement, Pre-Primary & Primary Combos
Black or light pink leotard with tights, skirt, shorts, or leggings.  Combos that include tumbling require convertible or footless tights so that the students don't slip on the floor while tumbling.  No skirts for tumbling.  Hair in a pony tail, braid or bun (we recommend braid for classes that involve tumbling).

Ballet & Pointe
Black leotard, pink tights.  Canvas slit sole ballet shoes or approved pointe shoes.  Hair in a bun.

Tap
Any color leotard, tight tank top, sports bra, shorts, tights or leggings.  Hair in a pony tail, braid or bun.   Black tie tap shoes with Capezio teletone taps.

Jazz
Any color leotard, tight tank top, sports bra, shorts, tights or leggings.  Hair in a pony tail, braid or bun.  Theatricals brand tan slip-on jazz boot.

Acro & Contemporary
Any color leotard, tight tank top, sports bra, shorts, tights or leggings.  Hair in a pony tail, braid or bun.  Barefoot (NO tights over feet or socks!!!)

Song & Dance
Any color leotard, tight tank top, sports bra, shorts, tights or leggings.  Hair in a pony tail, braid or bun.   Theatricals brand tan slip-on jazz boot for all classes EXCEPT senior – Senior company black t-strap.

Hip Hop
Any color leotard, tight tank top, sports bra, shorts, tights or leggings.  Hair in a pony tail, braid or bun.  Clean sneakers or combat boots are fine for class – specific shoes will be chosen for each class by November at the latest.

Company Rehearsals (Saturdays)
Black shorts and crop top.  Hair in a pony tail, braid or bun.  Shoes vary.

Boys
Black bottoms (dance pants or athletic shorts) with a t-shirt or tank top (white for ballet – all other classes can be any color).  Black ballet shoes for ballet, black jazz shoes instead of tan for jazz and song & dance, all other classes footwear will be the same as girls.
